HSCC Testimonial * Khadijah Celestine (New York, 2007)

Khadijah Celestine is one of the brightest stars in the BDPA universe. I saw her in Philadelphia last month. She participated in the college division of the BDPA IT Showcase. What I didn't realize was that Khadijah was also an alumni of our High School Computer Competition (HSCC). It turns out that little sister was part of the HSCC team trained by BDPA New York chapter to compete in the 2007 national championships.

Where Are They Now: 1977 BDPA Philadelphia Officers

The greatest obstacle facing BDPA in its second year of operation was lack of full members. Therefore, the focus for the year was to increase membership by placing a greater emphasis on technical data processing presentations.
Presentations and lectures that year were given on such topics as: Structured Programming, Advanced COBOL, On-Line Systems and Equal Opportunities in Data Processing.
The second year ended with a new commitment to the organization, an impressive addition of new members, and a new slate of new officers.

Becoming a Charter Member of the Founder's Club

It is not too late...

BDPA Family,

During the 2010 BDPA Technology Conference, we introduced the Founder's Club to our Lifetime members. On Saturday night they were honored during a private reception sponsored by Deloitte and ITSMF. All members of the Founder's Club were presented a certificate of participation and a one of a kind memento designed by our founder Earl Pace. Admiral Gary Roughhead, Chief of Naval Operations was also there to congratulate each member. Inclusion as a Charter Member of the Founder's Club is open through the end of 2010. After that the Charter Member designation will be closed and the specially designed mementos will be retired forever! If you wish to join this select group, act now."
Please contact Mildred Allen, VP of Membership Management at
vpmm@bdpa.org if you are interested in becoming a Charter Member of the Founder's Club and Lifetime Member of BDPA.
